STUDENT COOKING by TUCO has quickly become one of the most popular resources in the TUCO toolkit, and members are ready to make use of the articles, recipes and videos to engage their students. Here's a quick reminder of how to download that content for your own channels.

STUDENT COOKING by TUCO is a content toolkit designed to help members inspire students, showcase campus catering and celebrate food culture across the sector.

The STUDENT COOKING programme is split into two distinct offerings:

  • free, comprehensive digital content hub included as a value-add for all TUCO members
  • an optional, highly engaging on-campus Masterclass package that provides universities with their own bespoke, co-branded video content

To get you started, here's a step-by-step guide to downloading the Hub's assets for your own use:

The STUDENT COOKING Hub

Exclusive, Ready-to-Use Content for TUCO Members

  1. Visit the Hub
  2. One the top right click on the button Downloadable Assets
  3. This will bring up all the articles that include assets available to download (e.g. video content)
  4. Copy and paste the text: highlight the title, copy & paste it into your own article, and do the same for the rest of the text.
  5. To download video content, click the “download video asset” button.
  6. This will open a new tab with the video in Google Drive. From here, you can click the download button to access it.
  7. Once your selected video has downloaded, you can then upload it to your article.

Funded entirely by TUCO, the STUDENT COOKING Hub is a centralised digital platform accessible to all members at no additional cost. We know university catering and communications teams are often overstretched, which is why the Hub provides a ‘plug-and-play’ solution. Members gain exclusive access to a year-round bank of professionally produced content designed to be shared directly on their own social media channels, newsletters and digital screens.

The Student Journey: The content is sequenced to match key milestones in the academic year, from Week 1 arrival meals and budget shopping tips, to energy-boosting exam season recipes and comforting dishes for winter savings.

Rich Formats: The Hub includes written recipes, cook-along videos, nutrition articles and supplier spotlights, all aligned with the Menus of Change (MOC) 24 Principles.
