The TUCO Foundation aims to improve the wellbeing of communities through grant-giving and charitable donations. Here are some of the ways in which TUCO and the Foundation give donations, offer volunteering opportunities and conduct fundraising to support good causes around the world.
  • From 2017 - 2020, the then Chair of TUCO Matthew White, spearheaded a campaign to support Marys Meals, a charity providing life-changing meals to children in Malawi. TUCO's charitable arm, now called the TUCO Foundation, organised a series of challenges resulting in over £100,000 being raised to help feed children in Malawi. TUCO colleagues, members, suppliers and partners were sponsored for 22mile treks across the UK.

  • In 2022, Phil Rees-Jones, Chair of TUCO, donated to the DEC Ukrainian Humanitarian Appeal on TUCO's behalf.

  • TUCO & Foundation staff regularly take part in volunteering days. Most recently, staff volunteered at Dr Kershaw's Hospice in the run up to Christmas.

  • As part of TUCO's sustainability and charitable works policy, all surplus food following events is donated to local shelters. In 2019 TUCO, in partnership with conference sponsor Brakes, Surplus4G and industry stalwart Roger Kellow, took all of the surplus food from the summer conference to a homeless hostel in York called ‘Changing Lives’. The organisation has 39 rooms and homes some of York’s most vulnerable people often with complex alcohol and drug addiction problems.

  • TUCO has signed the Armed Forces Covenant and been awarded Bronze certification for the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme. The Armed Forces Covenant (AFC) is a promise that those that serve, or have served in the armed forces and their families, will be treated fairly. The signing of the Covenant shows support for the Armed Forces Community and by doing so, we agree that no member of the Armed Forces Community should face disadvantage compared to any other citizen and that in some circumstances special treatment may be appropriate especially for the injured or bereaved.

As a result, we have been awarded the Bronze Certificate for the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) which encourages employers to support defence. An ERS award shows that the recipient is delivering tangible support for the Armed Forces community.

  • In 2025, TUCO Chair Amanda Pettingill pledged to support the Natasha Allergy Research Foundation. The 2025 Competitions event raised £1,500 for the Charity, and the TUCO Summer Conference raised £4,040.

  • The 2025 Summer Conference also saw carbon offsetting efforts: 83 tonnes of carbon were offset through the planting of 83 trees. Furthermore, surplus food and drink from the event were donated to the Bilsthorpe Food Hub through sponsor Brakes.
