TUCO is working in partnership with Campus Life and Lifetime Learning to provide members with an exciting resource to support and inspire your students in developing confidence in cooking, exploring food culture and making healthy, affordable and sustainable choices during their time at university.

We are delighted to announce that we will soon be launching Cooking with TUCO: a new national content toolkit designed to help members inspire students, showcase campus catering and celebrate food culture across the sector.

The programme will be twofold; an online hub and cooking masterclasses for students.

The online hub will provide TUCO members with high-quality, ready-made content that can be quickly shared through existing student channels such as social media, student newsletters, digital screens and campus websites. The content will highlight the skills and expertise of chefs, caterers and suppliers across the TUCO network, while supporting the promotion of healthy, affordable and sustainable eating for students. By providing consistent, engaging content, the initiative will also help members increase awareness of campus catering, drive footfall into outlets and strengthen student loyalty.

Members will also have the option to host Student Cooking Masterclasses on campus, delivered in partnership with The Academy by Lifetime. These interactive sessions will consist of themed cook-along classes to provide your students with the hands-on skills of cooking, delivered by professional chefs. The masterclasses create a powerful way to showcase your catering team, generate student engagement and create lasting digital content linked to your university.

TUCO and Campus Life will be holding a meeting on 23rd April so members can learn more about the Student Cooking with TUCO project in more detail and find out how they and their students can benefit from this exciting new resource.
