It’s the right level for those who work directly with cleaning products, chemicals, or other hazardous materials, ensuring they know how to use them safely and responsibly in a busy hospitality environment.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the legal responsibilities under the COSHH Regulations (2002)
  • Identify hazardous substances commonly found in hospitality settings
  • Interpret hazard symbols and Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
  • Recognise routes of exposure and associated health risks
  • Apply safe storage, handling, and disposal procedures
  • Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Follow best practice in spill management and emergency response
     
  • Have attained a  Level 2 Award in the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health on passing the assessment

Minimum guided learning hours for the qualification:

 Half-day Online approx. 2.5 hours including assessment - ( Available as an in-person session email [email protected] to discuss)

  • Includes interactive activities, hospitality-specific case studies, and downloadable materials

Provisional Itinerary:

The course will take place over Half day, the day will typically start at 01000h and end at 12.30h (allowing 10mins for refreshment breaks). The exam for this course (if you have requested it) will take place at your institution after the training is completed. We may need to train an invigilator for the exam to be held in your institution.

This is an online session with a limited number of places available. Delegates will need access to a laptop or PC with a microphone and web camera to participate in this interactive course. Attendees will receive a link to the session one week before and a downloadable participant pack the day before.
