Who is this for?
Anyone wishing to sell or authorise the sale of alcohol by retail on licensed premises must hold a personal licence. To become a personal licence holder, an individual should obtain a regulated personal licence holder’s qualification.
Why should I take part?
A personal licence allows the holder to sell or authorise the sale of alcohol. A personal licence is also needed to apply to become a designated premises supervisor (DPS). Licensed premises can have more than one personal licence holder.
What level is right for me?
Level 2 is aimed at those who require a personal licence.

Following the course and successfully passing the exam you will...
• Have attained a Level 2 qualification for Personal Licence Holders
Minimum guided learning hours:
Level 4: 40 (over 5 days) + exam at institution at a later date to allow for revision
Provisional Itinerary:
The course will take place over 1 9-hour days. The day will typically start at 0930h and end at 1830h (allowing 1/2hr for lunch and refreshment breaks). The exam for this course will take place at your institution after the training is completed. We may need to train an invigilator for the exam to be held in your institution.
This is an online session with a limited number of places available. Delegates will need access to a laptop or PC with a microphone and web camera to participate in this interactive course. Attendees will receive a link to the session one week before and a downloadable participant pack the day before.
